Current state of SoC and future plans


Heya, BlackHawk here, main (and current only) developer of Seeds of Civilization, I just wanted to make this post to reassure everyone that yes, I plan on keeping developing this project and it isn't abandoned, but I do want to ask for patience with me, although I have experience with Godot I am a very inexperienced artist, I can draw something that looks nice, but it takes time, arguably, the art assets (except for the wolf and lynx enemies, which were made by Kageki, again, huge thanks to them, bro saved me) were the things that took the longest, basically, I am a very slow artist due to my inexperience.

But enough excuses, you guys will most likely be getting the first post jam demo either by the end of this month or sometime around the next, I want this to look nice and at least a little bit professional, I'm sorry if I disappointed anyone with the state the jam prototype was released in, and thanks for the encouraging words some of you left on the jam page, if there's any needed clarifications, question, concerns, suggestions, whatever, feel free to leave a comment, I want this game to be the best it can be, and feedback is the first step, thank you all for your patience.

As for other plans, once the new demo is out I will be opening up a twitter and bsky for Doelicious Games, this is something I have been postponing a bit until I have something properly presentable.
